Orion Nebula is clear, not over exp. How to do it?

Referring to my photographic details, I took two sets of exposures, 5 mins & 15 s. Process the 5 mins exposures as usual. Apply HDRMultiscalTransformation to the 5 mins exposure. When the 5 mins exposure is done, process the 15 s exposure in such a way that the color tone is similar to that of 5 mins exposure. Finally set them in 2 layers respectively and combine them.
I guess there are lots of ways to do that and certainly there are more sophisticated ways. This is only a simple way I used and works for me.
